On Friday evening, Oct. 30, former "One Life to Live" star Nathaniel Marston shocked the entertainment industry when he was involved in a tragic car accident. Based on the reports, the 40-year-old actor was severely injured, paralyzed from the neck down and needed a ventilator to breathe after his lung collapsed and pneumonia.

At the time of the accident, Nathaniel Marston was reportedly sober, as said by the authorities. His mother, Elizabeth Jackson, also reported that the actor is currently on life support and will never walk again after his third, fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh neck vertebrae were broken. He also has a broken shoulder, Celeb Dirty Laundry noted.

"Please pray for my son Nathaniel Marston...," Jackson wrote on her Facebook page. "He was in a car accident last night and is in intensive care on life support. Back and neck broken in several places. Other internal injuries. Please pray that he will recover and walk again."

Aside from giving updates about Nathaniel Marston's condition, Jackson also took the liberty to dispel the rumors that may surface regarding her son's car crash, Inquisitr reported.

"Just spoke to highway patrol and tribal police..." she added. "In case rumor mill gets going. Nate was sober according to cops. Waiting to speak to Dr. Please pray that Nate does not end up a paraplegic... neck broken and fractured in neck vertebrae 3,4,5,6, and 7. Shoulder broken along with all ribs. Collapsed lung and pneumonia. Please please pray for him"

"Spoke to Nates Dr. In all likelihood if he lives he will be paralyzed from the neck down and will not breathe without a ventilator machine," she continued. "Oh my God please give me strength."

Meanwhile, Nathaniel Marston has gained prominence as a figure and actor in the realm of soap opera. Marston originally shot to fame after he appeared on CBS' "As The World Turns" between 1998 and 2000, playing Eddie Silva. Moreover, Nathaniel Marston attained stardom when he played the role of Al Holden between 2001 and 2003 on ABC's "One Life to Live." Between 2004 and 2007, he also returned as Dr. Michael McBain on the series.

Unfortunately, Marston left "One Life to Live" in 2007 after an arrest for felony assault charges in Manhattan, New York Daily News revealed. New York Post added that he pleaded guilty to misdemeanor resisting arrest and completed a three-month anger management training as part of his plea deal.
