"Supergirl" season 1, episode 3 features one of Superman's nemesis coming after his cousin, Kara Danvers. According to TVGuide, Ben Krull, known as Reactron, will arrive and post a threat to National City.
The villain for "Supergirl" season 1, episode 3 is played by Chris Browning from the "Sons of Anarchy." The goal of Browning's character has been established — kill Kara and destroy the city.
Of course, "Supergirl" isn't going to just sit around and wait while her city is being attacked. She appears at the scene to save the tech tycoon Maxwell Lord, a character played by guest star Peter Facinelli.
However, from the looks of "Supergirl" season 1, episode 3 exclusive clip from the report of Entertainment Weekly, Melissa Benoist's character was having a hard time fighting against Reactron.
Quite a strategy, don't you think? Kara trying to calm things down, telling Ben Krull that his wife wouldn't want him hurting anyone.
"Ben Krull is dead," Reactron replied before revealing Superman's involvement with his so-called demise. Suppressing her powers for a long time and a lack of experience placed "Supergirl" in a disadvantage, and the footage ended with Kara lying on ground, her vision blurring.
A separate video "Supergirl" season 1, episode 3 promo video was uploaded on YouTube titled "Fight or Flight" (GlobalTV Trailer). Other than Cat questioning the newest superhero's capacity in saving National City, the trailer also showed tidbits of Reactron and Kara's junkyard fight scene.
This time, though, just as when "Supergirl's" vision was fading, she looks up and sees something — or someone. Take a good look between 0:09-0:12.
This three-second scene got the fans thinking if Superman is coming to save his beloved cousin. After all, Benoist already teased the Man of Steele's appearance in the show.
"He's always there on the outskirts and pops in and out in fun, creative ways," she replied when asked whether the audience will see "Supergirl's" cousin, as per New York Post.
Meanwhile, result for the overall number of viewers and ratings of "Supergirl" season 1, episode 2 was revealed. CinemaBlend learned that when the sophomore episode aired, the show only did a 2.2 rating and its overall number of viewers dropped by 30 percent.
Many TV critics believe that it often happens after a show's premiere, but the drop in numbers are quite significant.
Is it time for Superman to make an appearance, and will the show's ratings increase with "Fight or Flight" episode?
Answers to those questions remain to be seen. "Supergirl" season 1, episode 3 airs tonight at 8 p.m. on CBS.
