The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium is now in Canada thanks to the country's local carrier, Bell.

As reported by Android Headlines, earlier this year, Sony refreshed its flagship device line with the Xperia Z5 range that consists of three individual models. These are the Xperia Z5, the Xperia Z5 Compact and the top of the line variant, the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium.

The base model Z5 is based around a 5.2-inch, 1080p Sony display panel wherin the Xperia Z5 Compact has a 4.6-inch, 720p resolution screen. Lastly, the Xperia Z5 Premium has a 5.5-inch panel that packs a whopping 4K screen that is effectively 2160p.

According to Android Pit, among the three Z5 phones, the Z5 Premium is the one that you should get.

As proof, the flagship device from Sony is arguably the first smartphone that comes with a 4K display. Packed with a whopping 3,840 x 2,160 pixels into a 5.5-inch screen, viewing videos, photos and even games would be a blast in this device.

Apart from that, the Japanese tech brand also improved its touch recognition so that the screen of device will still work even if it's wet.

With great screen resolution, comes a great camera. What's the use of a 4K screen if your smartphone can't take sharp, clear and crisp photos? Famous for its camera sensors, Sony equipped the Xperia Z5 Premium with a 23-megapixel camera with a super-fast autofocus, in addition to a "hybrid image stabilizer."

Apart from that, the phone can also take 4K videos and has a continuous autofocus so subjects don't drift out of focus when the camera moves. In short, it has one of the best cameras in any smartphone right now.

We know that 4K videos and 23-megapixel photos can take a lot of space in your storage. Luckily, the phone can handle up to 200 GB with microSD, apart from its internal 32 GB storage.

But it isn't all fluff; it also quite packs a punch. It has 4 GB of RAM and a 64-bit Snapdragon 810 processor, clocked at 1.5 to 2.0 GHz. For its GPU, it's equipped with an Adreno 430.

Officially unveiled three months ago, the Xperia Z-line of flagship smartphones are refreshed every six months. Those who want to get this phone in Canada can now do so through Bell.

And although it is not officially on sale in the United States, GSM Arena reported that there is a lot of third party retailers including Amazon and Expansys, are currently selling the device for around $780 for the standard model.

The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium can be yours for the price of $299.99 on a two-year plan or for $749.99 without a contract.
