Bound is coming to the PlayStation 4 according to an official statement from the game's developer.
As reported by the PlayStation Blog, MichaÅ "bonzaj" Staniszewski of Plastic, a small team of developers, said that they are bringing the game as an exclusive release for the PS4.
In the past, Plastic brought games like "Linger in Shadows" and "Datura" to the PlayStation 3.
Staniszewski said in the statement, "We haven't got rid of our experimenting habits, and this time we are going to deliver something to you that is quite unique in visual style, narrative storytelling, and also mechanics."
As for the game, he described "Bound" as a 3D platformer designed for people who wants to concentrate on the narrative side of games and experience a "mature story."
However, he also added that, "On the other side of the spectrum, 'Bound' is also being prepared for hardcore gamers looking for the challenge of one big puzzle that can be only solved by a community of players working together."
Digital Trends reported that, although the game does not strive to be realistic, the developers worked closely with a dancer and a choreographer to assure that the ballerina's movements in the game was both "expressive" and "emotional."
The main character of "Bound" is described as a ballerina with a rich personality who brings beauty to moves and exploration. And thanks to Plastic's effort to collaborate with dancers and choreographers, the game was really able to capture its claim that it will have "true, expressive and emotional moments."
The report also praised the music of the game that features synth-heavy tunes. The devs promised that the game will be "a perfect blend of ballet and electroacoustic music."
The game emphasized its narrative, but Plastic clarified that it will not be limited to a single-player. It's a "one big puzzle" that can only be solved collaboratively.
In a related note by PlayStation Lifestyle, Staniszewski said that the game's result is a "notgame," but also a game. Simply put, it's up to the player to decide how they would want to play.
Also, the upcoming title will run at 1080p at 60 frames per second, with the team reportedly spending more than a year on optimizations.
"Bound" is developed in collaboration with Sony Santa Monica and will be available on the PS4, but there are also speculations that it will arrive on the PlayStation 3.
However, it does not have an official release date yet.
