"Flash" is returning this Tuesday night for a Christmasy episode that's too dark and too heavy to handle. Season 2, episode 2 is entitled "Running to Stand Still" and it seems that Barry Allen's The Flash will really stand still after running for his life and for his loved ones' lives as he faces three rogues in one action-picked winter finale episode.
Season 2 is indeed sprinting this time around. The CW series is now down to its winter finale episode which can either give fans the shock of their lives or just a snippet of what's to come in the succeeding episodes by wrapping up tonight's show with a cliffhanger.
After the successful team-up of The Flash and Arrow to take down Vandal Savage, Barry must face more antagonistic characters this week before he can celebrate Christmas merrily. International Business Times has learned that Grant Gustin's character will fight against a team of rogues and per the spoilers and teasers, they are no other than The Trickster, Captain Cold and the Weather Wizard. With this, the guest stars for tonight are Liam McIntyre, Wentworth Miller and Mark Hamill.
The three rogues are uniting to bring terror to Central City despite the Yuletide season. In the sneak peek, The Trickster could even be seen wearing a deranged Santa outfit, per ScreenRant.
The unity among the three will be a difficult obstacle for Barry. In the preview, he could be seen solely taking on the trio, and he is definitely having a hard time keeping up with the attacks they do.
Interestingly, Keiynan Lonsdale is set to appear in "Flash" Season 2, episode 9 though he could not be seen in any of the teasers. Is he going to join the fight against the trio? Find out by watching "Flash" Season 2, episode 9 online through the free online stream link found at the end of this post.
Wally West is reportedly going to be Joe's son and Iris' brother, and his introduction into the TV series will definitely bring more to the table for fans to enjoy.
If he does appear tonight and help Barry take down Captain Cold, The Weather Wizard and The Trickster, could he be involved in stimulating the development of Barry's new power?
Grant Gustin recently opened up to TVLine about his character's new power, saying: "Barry does another thing with his powers that he, in the moment, discovers and that he's never done before. It's kind of goofy in a way where it's very comic book-y. It's cool."
Meanwhile, in another teaser snap dropped by the show's official Facebook page, it seems that Barry and Iris will have a conversation that would change Barry's life. Could a romance between the two be finally in the cards before the series goes on its winter break? Found out by watching "Flash" Season 2, episode 9 online using the free online stream link found below.
According to Fansided, the official synopsis of "The Flash" Season 2, episode 9 reads: "When Mark Mardon AKA The Weather Wizard returns to break Leonard Snart AKA Captain Cold and James Jesse AKA The Trickster out of Iron Heights, Barry must stop these rogues from taking over Central City during Christmas. Meanwhile, Joe and Iris meet Wally West."
