Manchester City snatched a late winner against Swansea in the longest Premier League game with a record of 12 minutes added time.

Manchester City had lost in the previous two matches against Norwich in Premier League and Ajax in the Champions League, which put the team bottom in the group stage with only one point. At the same time, Mancini's team was hoping to extend their unbeaten home game run to 34 matches.

Michu, Swansea's top scorer, first put the ball into the net during first half. However, the  goal was disallowed because he was at an offside position when he received the through ball from teammate Wayne Routledge.

Both sides remained goalless at the end of 45 minutes.

At 63 minutes, Carlos Tevez scored a 30-yard long range strike that went into the bottom right-hand corner of the net. The Argentinian striker also ended his eight-game goal drought. Swansea goalkeeper Vorm was injured when trying to save the ball and had to be carried off on a stretcher. He was replaced by German goalie Tremmel after a few minutes.

Manchester City right-back Micah Richards too had to be taken off with a knee injury, when he suddenly collapsed with no-one near him.

he victory did not look anywhere near convincing to the home fans. Nevertheless it put Manchester City in second place with 21 points. Swansea remained in the top half of the league table at 10^th place with 11 points.
