On Dec. 20, "Miss Universe" 2015 will showcase beauties from more than 80 nations from all over the world. The ladies will graciously vie for the crown to be the successor of the current reigning queen, Paulina Vega of Colombia. The contestants will be judged in three major categories including swimsuit, evening gown and the question and answer segment.

The 64th "Miss Universe" competition will be held The Axis at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. It will be hosted by Emmy Award-winning game show host Steve Harvey and Latin Grammy nominated singer-actress Roselyn Sanchez. As previously reported, the coronation night will be aired live by FOX at 7 p.m. While the Spanish language simulcast will appear on Azteca America, with hosts Vanessa Claudio and Poncho de Anda, Entertainment Weekly revealed.

As beauty pageant enthusiasts get more excited about the upcoming "Miss Universe" 2015 coronation night, here are 5 latest scoops we've learned so far.

1. Telecast and Preliminary Judges

For the "Miss Universe" 2015 telecast judges, the panel includes American football player and former NFL star Emmitt Smith, "Scream Queens" star Niecy Nash, Miss Universe 2012 Olivia Culpo and celebrity entertainment personality Perez Hilton, The Hollywood Reporter noted.

While the preliminary judges are IMG Global Fashion Communications Vice President Erika Albies, independent film and TV producer Julio Caro; WME/IMG Digital Partnerships Director Keiko Uraguchi, "Entertainment Tonight" correspondent Nischelle Turner, Miss USA 2013 Erin Brady, entrepreneur Rocky Motwani and marketing expert Zak Soreff.

2. Performers

The "Miss Universe" 2015 performers include "See You Again" hitmaker Charlie Puth, Grammy Award-winning multi-Platinum singer and songwriter Seal and the Grammy Award-winning sibling trio The Band Perry.

3. Beauty Routines and Fears

Even though the "Miss Universe" 2015 contestants have tried on their bikinis and picked their gowns, the ladies still have fears about what could happen onstage. And New Zealand's Samantha McClung shared that she's scared of tripping down the stairs.

"I'm only nervous about tripping down the stairs or getting my dress caught," she told E! News.

As for beauty routines, Spain's Carla Barber Garcia shared her secret to keeping her feet pain-free while wearing heels.

"I have a really warm bath every night and I put my feet [up] because if not I cannot wear high heels every day," she spilled.

During the "Miss Universe" 2015 preliminary competition, the contestants flaunted their beauty and elegance through their sparkling gowns and colorful swimsuits.
