American Red Cross App

The American Red Cross App is free and available for iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, (requires iOS 4.2 or later), and Androids. With millions of people without power and electricity, the app can help those with a charged mobile device.
The American Red Cross app was updated more than two months ago. However it is very useful in this period when many are in shelters, without power and homes and buildings are damaged. It is able to make a location-based alert, tips and checklists for strategising for emergency objectives and being ready to help those affected by disaster.
The app can be downloaded for free. It is worth a try since it has many features and the ability to send an “I am Safe” message via Twitter, Facebook and email.
It can also warn you about storms and warnings based on your location and provide you with information on open Red Cross shelters nearby you.
