Facebook might add a new feature to their mobile app. Users got excited after they noticed that the company is currently testing a new feature that would allow users to browse multiple feeds, which could possibly add excitement to their service.
Facebook has been experimenting with several features lately to see which one among them will capture the interest of the users and eventually resonate. But until now no new feature has been added yet to their mobile app. However, the most used social media website is currently running a test, allowing its users to browse across multiple News Feed rather than just one.
The new customized feed organizes different stories, with which users can view multiple topics all at the same time. According to Fortune, it was Jason Stein, CEO of social media agency Laundry Service, who spotted it. After seeing it, he quickly shared the news through his Facebook page by writing, "Facebook is adding customizable interest-based feeds. A newspaper made up of all the world's newspapers."
Facebook then released a statement to explain about their latest trial run.
"People have told us they'd like new options to see and have conversations about more stories on Facebook around specific topics they're interested in," the statement reads. "So we are testing feeds for people to view different stories from people and Pages based on topic areas. You can access these feeds from your Bookmarks, located underneath Favorites, or a navigation bar under Search."
Although the latest experiment is currently a buzz among netizens, still, there is no guarantee that the feature will be added to the Facebook mobile app.
In some perception, Facebook has definitely showed that they always think about their users' interest. This is an indication they want to improve more their services to make their website a hub in which they can cater all the people's need. They want to be more than just a social networking site, they want to be a website that can provide solution to the internet users.
