The holidays are almost over, and aside from welcoming a new year, it could only mean one thing: The days of the anticipated Starbucks Holiday Drinks are almost over.

As the year is fast drawing to a close, the Seattle-based company has released a report on Tuesday, studying the most ordered holiday-themed concoction across nine regions of the United States.

According to the report, they have come up with the results by "examining the number of units sold per thousand of all Starbucks menu items." Later, data were interpreted and analyzed and the findings were these:

Sunny states such as California, Florida and Hawaii prefer cooler drinks like the Peppermint Mocha, served as a Frappuccino or over ice, Iced Chestnut Praline Latte and Caramel Brulée Frappuccino. As expounded in the report, "Sun-lovers and vacationers get the Christmas Spirit with a frosty drink in hand."

On the other hand, the warmer brews and blends were more popular and consumed in the chiller regions. These include Northeast, Midwest and Mid-Atlantic and Southeast parts of the country. Their festivity drink favorites are the Holiday Spice Flat White and Gingerbread Latte. In Texas and other mountainous regions, locals enjoy Chestnut Praline and Pumpkin Spice Lattes.

Meanwhile, back in Seattle and the rest of the Pacific Northwest, which is Starbucks' home turf, The Festive Eggnog Latte claims the crowd's favorite.

Starbucks offers their Holiday Menu from early November to the first few weeks of January. Customers enjoy their drinks-hot or cold while collecting stickers that could be exchanged for a planner for the next year. This year, the coffee company giant has collaborated with Moleskin as the manufacturer of their planners distributed worldwide.

As Starbucks commenced their Holiday Drinks menu last November, some critics have linked the company's signature Red Cups with Satanic innuendos and euphemism, irking a widely talked about controversy. The company later on clarified that their cups were designed to symbolize "the classic Starbucks holiday red that is bright and exciting".
