Adele, the hit singer, is scheduled to perform in the coming Grammy awards night in February. However, she is not nominated this year. Despite being critically praised for her album '25'along with its smashing success in the music market, she was ignored by the awarding body her irate fans thought.

In reality, the British singer and songwriter was totally left out of the Grammy list because her current album '25' missed the awarding body's deadline. Her album was only released on Nov. 20, apparently missing Grammy's due date.

Grammy's custom is to let all nominees sing for the event. Adele seems to be an exception because she is scheduled to sing even if she is not included in the list of nominees.

The announcement that Adele would be singing in the awards night was made on Wednesday. She will perform one of the tracks in her '25' album, on Feb. 25, at the Los Angeles Theater.

Performers on this year's awards night will also include other nominees such as The Weeknd, a Canadian R&B singer who is nominated in seven Grammy categories and Kendrick Lamar, a rapper. Lamar received 11 nominations, making him one of the most nominated in the awarding body's history.

Adele is no stranger to the Grammys. She has already won 10 Grammys and sung in its ceremonies in 2012. The November release of her current album broke records for total number of sales in both her native England and the United States.

But it is unfortunate that it was released too late to beat Grammy's eligibility date. However, her album seems to be an early favorite for the Grammys next year.

The host for this year's awards night will be LL Cool J, a rapper who is popular for his calm demeanor at the mike. This is his fifth straight year to host the prestigious music event.
