Rumors are frenziedly going around about the release date of the new iPad Mini 5 and the fresh features it will offer Apple Inc fans. Will there be any changes in design? Are there any new features incorporated in the device?
Its predecessor, the iPad Mini 4 debuted in September 2015. It has considerable design changes, its specs were upgraded and fresh features were included which made it the best 8 inch tablet at that time.
Many are wondering what the iPad Mini 5 of 2016 will offer. Did Apple Inc overhauled the iPad Mini 4 or will its release date and launching be just like the debut of the iPad Mini 3 which is really just a damp squib?
Not willing to wait, some enterprising researchers did a bit of sleuthing and came up with some educated guess on what the new iPad Mini 5 will be like. Here are their hints and rumors about the latest Apple Inc device.
They say that the iPad Mini 5 will be thinner than the Mini 4 perhaps only around 5 mm thick. This is quite possible since its rival; Samsung Galaxy Tab S2's thickness is already 5.6 mm. The device would be thinner probably because it is going to be powered by a new and smaller battery.
But the battery's capacity may be lower than the mini 4's 5,124 mAh. If Apple has developed a superior battery technology, then the iPad Mini 5 can equal the power capacity of its predecessor.
The new iPad upgrade could be housed in a different chassis. Perhaps this new device will be made of 7000-series aluminum material as the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus are made of. This material will make the iPad Mini 5 stronger and more durable, especially if it will be thinner to prevent it from accidental bending.
