"Rocket League," a fast-action soccer game played by Cars and created by Psyonix, is all set to arrive on Xbox One on Feb. 17, 2016. The game had made a big impression when it debuted on Windows PC in early 2015.
The soccer game is physics based and interesting with cars wearing hats and manoeuvring hard to score goals. Psynoix will bundle wide-range of goodies for the Xbox One: 3 packs of its DLC - "Supersonic Fury," "Chaos Run" and "Revenge of the Battle-Cars," extra Battle Cars and nearly 50 customization items for the garage.
Xbox One will have battle cars made especially for its platform - the Halo HogSticker and the Armadillo.
"Rocket League" for the Xbox One will have exclusive stuff. The emphasis is on the content, with over 100 billion customization possibilities. The offline season mode will also run full-featured. The game is supported for multiple game configurations - 1v1, 2v2 and even 4v4 players' face-offs. These can be played online, offline as well as competitive play.
In the year of its launch, "Rocket League" had over 10 major updates. The developers said that the updates for the game will continue at a fast pace. Updates could include more free downloadable arenas as well as DLC Packs, said Jeremy Dunham, the Vice President at Psynoix.
Dunham said that Psynoix's old ties with Xbox 360 version of "Gears of War" meant that it was a question of time before "Rocket League" came to the XBox one.
Ever since November, 2013, Microsoft has been pursuing a hard line to revive Xbox One, because Sony's PlayStation became a runaway success during this period. Better games and pricing continues to be Playstation's USP, even as Microsoft went overboard with fanfare around hardware for Xbox as against better games. However, this trend is all set to change as Xbox One engineers tweak old favorites and offer a deluge of new titles to draw the old gamers back to advocating the console.
