Is Netflix rebooting "One Life To Live" and turning it into a drama web series? Fans are waiting for the soap opera to be revived.
After five years, viewers might be able to see the well loved series once again. The popular soap opera will hopefully soon grace the airwaves again as Prospect Park has announced that they were teaming up with Hulu to bring the daytime drama show back - this time, as a webseries.
The 40-year running soap opera revival was stunted. It turned out that plan was quite a short-lived expectation. After airing for less than a year, ABC ended the show after legal disputes and not-so positive ratings. The partnership with Hulu didn't last.
ABC has no plans of re-airing the already cancelled show to its daytime roster in the near future, reports confirmed. But that doesn't stop die hard "One Life To Live" fans from begging and forcing the world to listen to them. A petition posted on iPetition is now asking Netflix to pick up the shunned soap opera.
Would Netflix be picking up "One Life To Live?" There are no news indicating that Netflix has even given attention to the drama legacy. However, it's not strange for Netflix to purchase rights to cancelled television shows and bring them back to life as an online streaming show.
Fans continue to campaign for Netflix to pick up "One Life To Live" like it did with "Longmire." Stay tuned for more updates here!
