A 55 year old man from Florida is now facing 2nd degree murder charges after he shot and killed his roommate over an argument involving pork chops. The suspect was identified as Thomas Hahn of Volusia County, Florida. The incident occurred on December 11th at approximately 10:30PM EST when Hahn began arguing with one of his roommates. According to police reports, Hahn was reportedly drunk when he came home and shot his own roommate in what was nothing more than a meaningless act of violence.
Three shots were fired by the suspect with two of them hitting the victim who died on the spot. The victim was identified as Robert Eugene Gray Jr. He died of a gunshot wound to the head. When police arrived at the scene, Hahn was found sitting on a chair right near the body of the victim. The other two housemates were present during the said incident.
Police are currently investigating to see if Hahn had an ulterior motive in the murder of his flatmate. The suspect had reportedly told his housemates, “that should be enough” while he was loading his gun. Thus far, police can find no concrete evidence that can suggest Hahn had another reason behind the murder.
