You need a job? You want to start this New Year? Great!
Finding a job that makes you happy should be one of your main agendas. To help you streamline your perspective, Yahoo Finance has compiled a list of companies that has the most happiest and satisfied employees on earth. The list was sourced from Glassdoor.com, a website which enables employees to rate their own company. Glassdoor revealed the list after counting nearly a million reviews from anonymous employees.
As per Glassdoor.com, Facebook was the best company to work in. On a scale of 1 to 5, Facebook got a brilliant 4.7 rating, which implies that their employees are 'very satisfied', reported Yahoo Finance.
Employees at Facebook have a lot of faith in their founder, Mark Zuckerberg. Even after the serious clobbering the company took from the markets and the media in the IPO controversy, employees are extremely happy with their work in the company, reported Yahoo Finance.
"Wall Street dared to doubt Facebook, and Zuckerberg has turned it into an internal rallying cry," Glassdoor co-founder and CEO, Robert Hohman told Yahoo.
"People have more faith in him than they did a year ago." he added
Hohman also opined that Zuckerberg's approval rate had increased from 90 to 99 percent in a year, putting him in a league of pioneers that once included Steve Jobs as well.
McKinsey & Co. came in second while Riverbed Technology secured the fourth place. Bain & Co. which followed Riverbed Technology fell from its previous 'numero Uno' position. Two newbies, MD Anderson Cancer Center and In-N-Out Burger came in seventh and ninth respectively. Riverbed Technology is also a debutante this year.
Starbucks fared poorly with a 3.8 rating at the very bottom of the best 50. In 2011, Starbucks had come in #34, which has now been taken by Apple. Apple has fallen 24 spots from its previous ranking. Though the company's rating hasn't changed over the year, other companies seem to have gotten ahead, reported Yahoo Finance.
Groupon, Netflix and Hewlett-Packard were some of the popular companies that did not make it to the list at all.
