Christina Aguilera news hit the internet that "The Voice" judge is coming back. However, fans are not happy after Aguilera poked fun at Blake Shelton's love life prompting viewers to want Gwen Stefani back on the set.
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have not been shy about showing how much they appreciate each other's company. At one point, Stefani even used FaceTime to watch Shelton's concert. Their budding relationship was one of the highlights of "The Voice" season 9 which also boosted the show's ratings. Now, fans will no longer see Stefani in the picture and will be seeing more of Aguilera instead.
Even though Stefani will no longer sit on the red chair, she is still a subject amongst the judges especially when they love to tease Shelton which Aguilera and Adam Levine did in a recent episode. Both judges took shots at the Stefani-Shelton love affair. In recent Christina Aguilera news, the Disney pop star referenced one of Stefani's hit songs in an attempt to tease Shelton. "That *** is bananas!" Aguilera said.
Fans didn't take too kindly to the joshing and expected Stefani to remain as a judge for all to see their romance live on television. However, Stefani is going to be on the show as a mentor for Team Blake.
Viewers are already used to Levine taking shots at Shelton, but they are not used to seeing Aguilera do the same. Although the two judges will continue to make fun of Shelton, it was expressed that Aguilera has a good relationship with Stefani and there is no feud between the two.
Previous reports claimed that Aguilera's mission is to break the "girl curse" where a female judge has never won a season of "The Voice."
