"Fifty Shades Darker" welcomes Eric Johnson of "The Knick" fame to the cast. He is set to play Jack Hyde in the much awaited sequel.
His character is the arch-nemesis of Christian Grey, and he'll create friction as he will make a move on Ana while he's at it. Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan will reprise their roles in the second installment.
Jack Hyde will also be at one point, be Ana's boss. Ana is then led to confess to her beau that he's being more than just a boss to her. On Christian Grey's end, he's also going to have very messy time on "Fifty Shades Darker." The sequel has also included Bella Heathcote to play Leila - who was his former submissive prior to Ana, and Kim Basinger as his ex.
To add more friction to the mix, Christian Grey will also be working with another beautiful woman as well. They have also taken in Arielle Kebbel on board to play Gia, the stunning architect Christian Grey has hired to build his home. Ana is quite jealous of her, but then she knows that she's definitely good at her job.
"Fifty Shades Darker" has also started filming, and the fans won't have to worry about waiting another year for "Fifty Shades Freed," as they plan to film both two movies back to back. Author E.L. James has also posted a photo during the first day of filming on her Instagram account wishing the cast and crew good luck. Also, prior to the author's social media activity, Dakota Johnson has been snapped arriving at the Heathrow Airport for the start of filming of "Fifty Shades Darker."
"Fifty Shades Darker" is set to premiere on February 2017, and the last installment "Fifty Shades Freed" is scheduled for February 2018.
