Samuel L. Jackson Says Violent Movies Not To Blame

Award winning actor Samuel L. Jackson defended both the movie and video game industry by saying that the violence depicted in both films and video games are not to be blamed for what happened in Newton. Last Friday, Adam Lanza shot and killed 27 people, including 20 children before turning the gun on himself in one of the worst school shootings in recent memory.
Jackson added to his opinion by stating that the shooting incident last Friday had more to do with people who were never taught the value of life. He also pointed out that something must be done about “deranged individuals” given access to firearms and other weapons. Jackson said that he grew up in the South where guns were plenty and how they never shot anyone for no reason at all.
Another actor who shares Jackson’s sentiments is Dennis Haysbert, who is best known for his role as the President in the TV series “24.” Haybert believes that movies tend to actually mimic the things that happen in real life instead of it being the other way around.
Some of the more violent films that Jackson has starred in include such titles as Pulp Fiction, Django, and True Romance.
