Alien-like Skulls Found In A Thousand-Year-Old Cemetery

Researchers exposed alien-like skulls found in a thousand year old grave in Mexico, providing those believing in the Mayan “doomsday” prophecy another reason to think that the world is indeed nearing an end.
In Friday's odd reveal, researchers presented photos and video evidence of newly excavated skulls that resemble aliens from modern sci-fiction movies. But before you go on spreading the news that this is an imminent sign for an alien invasion, you may just want to hold your thoughts for a couple more seconds. It appears as though these skulls may possibly be associated with “cranial deformation” instead of it being extraterrestrial.
The site, called as El Cementerio, had 25 human remains; thirteen of which had deformed, elongated skulls which were pointed at the back. Seventeen were found to children somewhere between five months and 16 years old. This could suggest that an inefficiently performed cranial deformation was the cause of death due to a possible excessive force placed against the skull. These children didn't have signs any of disease that could have explained otherwise.
According to one of the archaeologists from Arizona State University, Christina Moreno, cranial deformation was used by various societies around the world as a form of ritual practice, or as a social distinction between groups or to denote a particular status.
