"Penny Dreadful" season 3 is coming and a familiar face from another horror series could emerge in the next season. "American Horror Story" actress Patti LuPone now continues her stewardship as Dr. Seward in the series while Josh Hartnett's Ethan Chandler will be reunited with Vanessa (Eva Green) soon.
Breathecast detailed that season 3's trailer presumes the notion that Ethan will rescue Vanessa and will soon be reunited with her. Ethan as hinted in the outlet will experience many adversaries along his journey to Africa to rescue Vanessa out of her evil insanity.
Meanwhile, Parent Herald detailed that the next season of Showtime's "Penny Dreadful" will include an unexpected line-up of characters that will bring an absolute dynamic to the story. Actors that are included are Patti Lupone, Shazad Latif and Wes Studi.
According to the outlet, Lupone's character will help heal Ives' battle with insanity. Shazad Latif on the other hand will portray the role of Dr. Henry Jekyll in the Showtime series.
The creator of the series, John Logan, also shared some details on what to expect in the upcoming run of "Penny Dreadful." Logan said in a Screenrant (via THR) article that "season three is a real change of pace for us, which is good. We can get out of the alleys and cobblestone bars of Victorian London and see a bit more of the world. Essentially there's a pull bringing these characters together, and it's supernatural, partly romantic, partly shared destiny."
Watch the "Penny Dreadful" season 3 premiere on Sunday, May 1, 2016, 9pm on Showtime.
