When someone likes to organize things, doing it for a living is a dream come true. We all have those friends and family who cannot get out of stationary shops and drool over notebooks.

If you love planning, these three careers from Prospects are great for you.

1. Outdoor activities/education manager

An outdoor activities/education manager runs centers that offer facilities and classes in outdoor sports and activities, like climbing, cycling, horse riding, mountaineering and water sports.

You will very likely have to have a training background in instructing and may have to teach as part of their job. You may have the responsibility for managing the centre, the staff in it and overseeing regulation adherence.

2. Event organizer

Event organizers are basically responsible for exactly what their name suggests: events. They oversee the event from conception through to completion. These events can be exhibitions and fairs, festivals, conferences, promotions and product launches. They can also be non profit fundraisers and social events.

As an organizer of events you could be working in the public or private sectors and your employees may include event management companies - or you could even work freelance.

Your role will be hands-on and often involves managing a whole team. You need several skills including clear communication, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for this job.

You must also work well under pressure because to be calm under fire and deadlines and especially in case of crises is vital in this kind of job.

3. Public house manager

A public house manager manages the commercial success of a pub or bar. This is a management position in which you would oversee the running of all sides of the business. This will include front end work, recruitment, accounting, stock etc and maybe even marketing and advertising.

You would require strong management, commercial and practical skills. It is your job to ensure that the pub is profitable, pleasant and safe.
