"The Vampire Diaries" season 7 episode 15 is entitled "I Would for You." It was aired last Mar. 4, 2016. In EW's "The Vampire Diaries" season 7 episode 15 recap, it was revealed that Rayna has emerged from the ashes again. Afterwards, she went to Mystic Falls and saved Matt and Penny.
Damon Salvatore then took her out. He ripped out the huntress' heart after Matt shot her. In the meantime, Stefan is still with Valerie after leaving New Orleans. They head to a witch garden where there are herbs used to conceal his huntress mark. However, it was revealed that the plant is no longer there.
Apparently, Damon wants Stefan to stopping running away. He hacked Rayna into pieces and threw her body down a well. This seemed to not have worked, though, since the huntress phoenix rebirthed herself.
"The Vampire Diaries" season 7 episode 15 also revealed the consequences of Rayna's rebirth. Every time she resurrects, a shaman dies. This explained the eight shamans, called the "everlastings," which Bonnie saw.
It was also revealed that once the vampire huntress' last life has been spent, everyone who she has marked will die with her. This means that if she dies one more time, Stefan will also be killed.
Damon had buried Rayna and had intended for her to suffocate on dirt. According to TV.com, he then did CPR on her to save his brother.
"I'm not a good brother when I'm not with Elena, and when I'm not a good brother, people get hurt," Damon told Stefan. "If there's even a fraction of you that cares about me, your brother, your family, then you will not walk out that door," Stefan said to his brother, who proceeded to walk out on him.
"The Vampire Diaries" season 7 episode 15 provided a time-jump to the three-year future in the season. Rayna gives Stefan the option to choose whether he or Damon should die. She can do this by transferring her mark.
