The "Deadpool 2" movie may introduce more new characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Could we finally see Cable and Domino in the sequel?

In an interview with Indie Wire, screenwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick talked about the "Deadpool 2" movie as well as how it will be connected to the "X-Men" universe. They also shared some details on their plans for an "X-Force" movie.

Villains Garrison Kane, Sluggo and Wire were initially included in the "Deadpool" movie drafts. However, they were not present in the final version and may not appear in the sequel as well. "You probably won't [see them in the sequel]," Reese told the publication, "but maybe in future go-rounds."

The "Deadpool 2" movie has already been given the green light by Fox. The website noted that it may still have minor connections with "X-Men," such as Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead in the original film, but it may not make way for a full-blown crossover yet.

"It's a timeline that will eventually catch up I would imagine," Wernick explained. "But ['X-Men' producer] Simon [Kingberg's] more the keeper of that universe and maybe we'll see more X-Men playing in Deadpool's sandbox and probably Deadpool playing in their sandbox at some point."

Meanwhile, Heroic Hollywood reported that Cable will be featured in the "Deadpool 2" movie. Moreover, his lover may make an appearance in the sequel too.

"Oh! I can tell you one thing, and it's a bit of a secret," the Merc with a Mouth revealed in the post-credits scene for the "Deadpool" movie. "The sequel? We're gonna have Cable. Amazing character. Bionic arm, time travel! We have no idea who we're going to cast yet, but it could be anyone. Just need a big guy with a flat top."

Domino, also known as Neena Thurman, is a former mercenary who became a member of the X-Men. She is able to manipulate luck and is known for her wit.

She was created by writer Rob Liefeld and has a long history with Cable. Domino first appeared in "X-Force" vol. 1 #11 in Jun. 1992.
