For fans and followers of "Law & Order: SVU," seeing Mariska Hargitay and Chris Meloni together must have been one of the anticipated moments in the show. Also, it stands out that both were in a mood to post pictures and uploaded it as one of their Twitter moments.
In a post from Mail Online "Olivia Benson and Elliot Stabler have not seen each other since he resigned from the force at the end of season 12, but that doesn't mean their alter egos Mariska Hargitay and Chris Meloni don't still hang out together.
To prove the latter, both actors shared a mini Law & Order SVU reunion that was posted on Twitter last Friday. The first one that shared images was Meloni. He shared on his social media account, "Meeting peeps NYC #hanginWithAFriend" while Mariska uploaded, "Lean on me @Chris_Meloni #HanginWithAFriend #ItsAllInTheEyesKid."
It appears that both of them have been been friends off cam, even though Meloni left "Law & Order: SVU." Meanwhile, the reappearance of Meloni created excitement for the fans and followers of the series because it implied a higher probability that Meloni might return to the show. To confirm the notion, one of the showrunners, Warren Leight revealed by saying, "I think if Mariska were to have called him, he would have taken the call."
Warren further relayed to The Hollywood Reporter, "That can be for another day, hopefully a long way off." However, the mere idea of having Meloni back on board is more than enough to satiate fans and followers' interest.
It remains to be seen whether a reunion will occur for Mariska and Chris on the small screen. For "Law & Order: SVU," having Meloni on board would surely twirl the storyline upside down.
