The new Pope of the Roman Catholic Church has been selected by the conclave of Cardinals. White smoke wafted up from the chimney at the Sistine Chapel.

In a few minutes, the new Pontiff will be revealed after praying and changing into the Papal robes.

Pope Benedict XVI shocked Catholics worldwide this year by announcing his resignation due to health concerns. It is speculated that a growing number of scandals within the Roman Catholic Church have taken a toll on the former leader, who retains the title of "Pope Emeritus."

CNN Reports that the new Pope will be introduced by a Cardinal with these words:

"Annuntio vobis gaudium magnum: Habemus Papam! Eminentissimum ac Reverendissimum Dominum, Dominum (FIRST NAME OF NEW POPE) Sanctae Romanae Ecclesiae Cardinalem (LAST NAME OF NEW POPE) qui sibi nomen imposuit (POPE'S NEW NAME)."

Roughly translated:

"I announce to you a great joy: We have a pope! The eminent and most reverend lord, Lord (FIRST NAME OF NEW POPE), Cardinal of the Holy Roman Church (LAST NAME OF NEW POPE), who has taken the name (POPE'S NEW NAME)."
