Good news, all "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta" fans! The hit reality series is returning on television this April with its fifth season.

After the epic season finale of "Love & Hip Hop: New York" season 6, VH1 is getting ready for the upcoming premiere of the series' Atlanta spinoff. So, here are 3 exciting things about "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta" season 5.

1. "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta" season 5 Cast

The upcoming season is reportedly having some new and dynamic personalities in its cast. According to VH1, some familiar faces such as Joseline Hernandez, Stevie J, Rasheeda, Kirk Frost, Karlie Redd, Mimi Faust, K. Michelle, Tammy Rivera, Scrappy, Yung Joc, Mommy Dee and Waka Flocka Flame are returning on the show.

In addition, the show will also introduce Karen "KK" King, an outspoken "momager" who brokered major deals with Akon's Konvict music and T-Pain all because of her sons. Sexy club vixen Tiara will also be part of the show along with Sas & Scrapp.

2. "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta" season 5 Transgender Cast Member

In the upcoming season, executive producer Mona Scott Young has hired the show's first transgender cast member - music producer D. Smith. Fashion & Style revealed that Smith is a "groundbreaking music producer" and a Grammy Award-winning writer turned artist who has worked with Lil Wayne.

3. "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta" season 5 Synopsis

"Your favorite show is back!" the synopsis of the upcoming season read. "'Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta' is set to return for season five with some familiar faces like Rasheeda, Karlie Redd, Mimi Faust, and the Puerto Rican Princess, not to mention the return of fan favorites K.Michelle, Tammy Rivera, and Waka Flocka Flame. This season's cast will also include the franchise's first trans woman and a slew of new and dynamic personalities."
