A new "Deadpool" movie trailer has been released. The video served to celebrate the film's "monthiversary."
Cinema Blend reported that the Merc with a Mouth celebrated another milestone for its film. Actor Ryan Reynolds released a new "Deadpool" movie trailer to commemorate its "monthiversary."
The "Deadpool" movie premiered in theaters last month. Moreover, "Deadpool 2" is said to be already in development.
It was previously reported that the "Deadpool 2" movie seems to have taken over "Gambit's" spot in Fox's release schedule. Cable could also make an appearance in the sequel, along with his love interest, Domino.
Cinema Blend described the new "Deadpool" movie trailer as "gritty" and "grainy." "Looking like it was made from clips lifted off of a series of warped VHS tapes you found in your garage," the publication wrote.
Meanwhile, the movie has crossed another milestone in just a month. Comicbook.com reported that the film has crossed $700 million at the box office.
It has grossed $708 million. However, it still needs to reach more than $742 million to beat 2003 action film "The Matrix Reloaded" as the highest-grossing R-rated film of all time.
The "Deadpool" movie gained $311.16 million in 24 days and is one of the biggest grossing movies in America. It earned $16.4 million in its fourth weekend, a 47% decrease due to competition from "London Has Fallen."
The Merc with a Mouth has also earned $673.2 million globally. It has bested "Hancock" ($624m), "The Incredibles" ($631m), "Thor: The Dark World" ($644m), "Big Hero 6" ($657m) as well as "Man of Steel" ($668m).
According to CBR, the film has officially overtaken "Iron Man" off of the top 10 list for both the comic book adaptation and superhero categories. The publication added that "Deadpool" has become more financially successful than "Iron Man," "Iron Man 2," "Man of Steel," "The Amazing Spider-Man" and "Captain America: Winter Soldier."
"Deadpool" has recently reached $300 million at the domestic box office. It may take over "Guardians of the Galaxy" if it gains another $5 million in the next days or weeks.
