"Star Wars Episode 8" has been filming secretly in Dubrovnik, Croatia, as recently reported by Jobs & Hire. Now, filming has entered its fifth week. On a similar note, while locals have been keen to spot obvious alien architecture around the area that may indicate a chase scene is scheduled to happen, the plot in Dubrovnik is still unclear.
However, photo leaks showing the production team carefully moving from London to Dubrovnik shows on-set pictures that may hold clues, according to GameSpot. When "Star Wars" Rey - Daisy Ridley - confirmed to MTV that Luke Skywalker will have a major role in "Star Wars Episode 8," fans can only do nothing but wonder what will happen. All eyes are on Croatia.
Luckily, Making "Star Wars" and DuList may provide some clarity for hungry "Star Wars Episode 8" fans even though Rian Johnson has been quite cheeky about the secrecy of the film.
One picture from GameSpot's article showed a bunch of First Order members huddling around beside some greenery. Another photo leak showed the complete transformed street of Dubrovnik. What was once a local area is now turned into a concrete alley with circular doors depicting a humanoid architecture.
A closer snapshot revealed some sort of machinery attached to the architecture, could they be some form of advanced air conditioners or raidators? However, there is one photo that has slipped into the radars. What looks like a craft hidden under a black tarp could be the vehicle used for the supposed chase scene.
"Star Wars Epsiode 8" will hit theaters on Dec. 15, 2017 and will also star Benicio del Toro and Laura Dern. In the meantime, check out videos of the set in Dubrovnik below.
