The "Justice League" movie sequel has been confirmed by "Batman v Superman" screenwriter Chris Terrio. The films are temporarily named "Justice League Part One" and "Part Two."
Speaking to WSJ, Terrio shared his thoughts on the future of the franchise. He admitted that the "Justice League" movie sequel is confirmed but he may not be the one to write it.
"I have written 'Justice League Part One,' but I won't necessarily write 'Part Two,'" the writer said. "This has been the most rigorous intellectual exercise I've had in my writing life."
"For 'Batman v Superman,' I wanted to really dig into everything from ideas about American power to the structure of revenge tragedies to the huge canon of DC Comics to Amazon mythology. For 'Justice League,' I could be reading in the same day about red- and blueshifts in physics, Diodorus of Sicily and his account of the war between Amazons and Atlanteans, or deep-sea biology and what kind of life plausibly might be in the Mariana Trench."
The "Justice League" movie writer also stated that the fan base deserved to have all of his body and soul for the past two years "because anything less wouldn't have been appreciating the opportunity I had." He has previously revealed that he didn't think he would be the one to write the script for the highly-anticipated film.
Chris Terrio almost walked away from writing the "Justice League" movie. If it wasn't for him being able to watch Jesse Eisenberg's performance at Lex Luthor, he wouldn't have stayed with the project.
Meanwhile, Collider reported that director Zack Snyder has confirmed that they still haven't decided on an official "Justice League" movie title yet. The publication speculated that the upcoming film's logo may pay homage to "Man of Steel" and "Batman v Superman."
"The 'Batman v Superman' logo I drew so long ago," Snyder said. "The thing that's kinda cool about the Batman suit [and] our Batman logo is that the dimension is the same as the Man of Steel logo, the bottom of the bat."
