Despite the fact that four major gaming publishers have decided to abandon their spaces at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016, event organizers are still hopeful that it will still draw more crowds this year. The reason? Well, let's just say that there will be several announcements about the upcoming games from other gaming publishers.
E3 2016 is perhaps the biggest trade show of the gaming industry in the United States. While the event has previously experienced dramatically decreased in the number of attendees, here are 3 reasons why E3 2016 might lure more attendees this year.
1. "Shadow of Mordor 2" Arrival at E3 2016
There have been rumors that Monolith Productions have been working for an unknown project for almost two years. And though there have been rumors that the project has something to do with "Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor 2," there wasn't any official announcement made.
Recently, however, Nerd Leaks learns that "Shadow of Mordor 2" might be announced soon. In fact, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment might show a CGI announcement trailer for the sequel of the critically-acclaimed game during the E3 2016.
2. "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" Revelation at E3 2016
Another good reason that E3 2016 might draw more crowds this year is the possibility that Square Enix might reveal "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" at the event. According to iDigitalTimes, avid gamers might see a glimpse of "Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part One" at E3 this year.
The speculation came after Square Enix revealed that the game would be divided into multiple parts and would transform into a modern-style action RPG just like "Final Fantasy XV." However, the revelation remains uncertain.
3. "Watch Dogs 2" to be Unveiled at E3 2016
In addition to the upcoming games mentioned above, E3 2016 might lure more attendees as Ubisoft is expected to unveil "Watch Dogs 2" at the event. The rumors came after the publisher mentioned in their financial report that the upcoming "Watch Dog" installment was expected to be launched before Mar. 31, 2017.
Since Ubisoft recently confirmed the existence of "Watch Dogs 2" at the Game Developers Conference just a couple of weeks ago, expectations are high that the publisher will officially reveal the game for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One at E3 2016 this summer, WWCF Tech notes.
Meanwhile, E3 2016 will be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center. And the annual convention will run from Jun. 14 until Jun. 16, 2016, as previously reported.
