Activision and Treyarch announced the second expansion of Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 called "Eclipse" that will soon make its way to Sony's PlayStation 4 on Apr. 19, following a release on Xbox One and PC.
According to Techtimes, players will soon be able to download the second DLC map pack to Eclipse for Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 on PlayStation 4 as part of the timed-exclusivity deal between Sony and Activision, where PS4 owners would get their new DLC features a month before others do.
The Eclipse is the latest in the Call Of Duty franchise that has generated more than $10 billion dollar over a decade, and which has been played by around 40 million players.
Head of the studio Treyarch, Mark Lamia stated, "The incredible amount of engagement and response to Black Ops 3 from our fans continues to inspire all of us at the studio. Eclipse continues to demonstrate our commitment to delivering the most exciting gameplay experiences possible with each DLC pack. We are pushing ourselves at every turn to craft new and unique ways to play."
According to Gamerant, the latest DLC map pack includes four new multiplayer maps such as Spire, Rift, Knockout and Verge. Which also includes the reimagining of Call Of Duty: World At War "Banzai".
Verge is a remake of a previous Treyarch map that some players might be familiar with. Players gets to fight to take over bridges, fortresses, tunnels and waterfalls. Since the thrust jump has now been introduced, players can run up on walls that wasn't available in the Banzai version.
Spire is a futuristic airport in the clouds that takes players in open levels and offers intense mid-range combat.
The Rift is a high-tech military complex, where players will be funneled in a tight quarter, and the only way through is to outplay opponents in order to move forward.
And finally Knockout is set in a traditional Shaolin temple with a retro flair look from the 70's, where players gets to engage in mid-range battles outside its traditional exterior architecture, while encountering opponents up close inside the temple's eccentric 70's style interior.
