Gwen Stefani has been known to be a legend in her own pop music field. She's made various hits from voicing "No Doubt" to her latest album that hit the No. 1 spot, according to EW.

Previously, JobsNHire reported that Stefani had been busy in the studio with music producer J.R. Rotem. The music producer revealed to Time that Stefani was going through "a lot." "What she's going through right now. It's not like she's in this very stable, boring place in her life-it was the most turbulent time!" exclaims Rotem.

Which is why her newest album, titled "This Is What The Truth Feels Like" was emotionally driven. She thought that after splitting from her then husband Gavin Rossdale she, one, will never find love again (until she met Blake Shelton) and, two, she will never get back into the studio.

So what motivated her to get back to working again? According to Perez, she was in a delicate phase. "I went through a real period of anger, but I felt like this song was almost like a forgiveness song. It's admitting, I used to love you and now I don't," says Stefani, referring to her song "Used To Love You."

By being honest and open to the world, she used her emotional state that propelled her to the Number One spot in the Billboard Charts. Even though she was sure she'd never be successful in her career, she still tried her best. "I was so scared and insecure and thought it was over for me. I think the hardest thing I did, was to get out of bed and go to the studio," explains the artist.

For artists out there, whether you're into the music or the arts, do not fret. If Gwen Stefani used her emotions to fuel her career, so could you.

If you need a tip to carry on, here's Stefani saying to you: "I'm thinking about positivity and how I can do something creative. I'm just doing what I want to do. It's so incredible to be in that zone. I'm always looking for the next song, and now I don't have to be insecure or write about heartache."
