A Californian high school senior has been pitch perfect so far and is leading his team to the state quarterfinals.

Michael Strem, the senior at St. Francis High School in Mountain View, markedly threw a 66-pitch perfect game in a California Interscholastic Federation Central Coast Section Division I playoffs with a 2-0 victory.

After creating this incredible feat, Strem tweeted a simple hash tag, "#perfectgame."

Twirling flawlessly, the pitcher struck out all 21 batters with just 66 throws, averaging just a little higher than 3 pitches per batter. The pitches were proportioned at 48 strikes and 8 strikeouts.

If it was not for the Boston College commit's effective pitching, his team would not be able to compete in the tournament any more.

The top-seeded St. Francis Lancers ended the game with a 2-0 victory over the 16th-seeded Monta Vista. The results of this amazing player's tournament will be disclosed on Saturday when they move on to play either Wilcox in Santa Clara or Valley Christian in San Jose in the quarterfinals. Be sure to purchase tickets before they fill up.

The record-breaking 66-pitch perfect game is the first perfect game ever pitched at St. Francis High School. Strem's overall record is 28-4-0 and his league record is 11-3-0. He ranks #30 nationwide and his battling average is .400, a heavy hitter.
