Samsung Galaxy S7 Update Allows One-Hand Use; Phone Still Beats LG G5 In Poll

The latest Samsung Galaxy S7 update now gives users the ability to utilize the handset with just one hand. The phone was released last month.
Android Central reported that Samsung will be updating the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge in some regions. The features added with this update will include improvements to touch and enhancements to palm rejection on the display. This allows users to effectively utilize the handset with one hand only.
According to SamMobile, the new feature will also correct the shape of "skewed photos." The new software (build XXU1APD1) brings with it better palm rejection for the screen. This would truly benefit those who own an S7 Edge since single-handed usage usually results in unintended touches on the display. There will be a toggle in the camera settings for the shape correction feature.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 update is expected to be available within the week. Users can manually check by going to About Device in the Settings menu. The update can be downloaded over the air, through Samsung Smart Switch or from SamMobile's firmware database. It will take up 156 MB.
Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy S7 is still in the lead over the LG G5. In GSM Arena's poll, the S7 has taken over the lead with 43% to 57%. "Samsung S7 the king of smartphones," one user commented.
It was previously reported that the Samsung Galaxy S7 has been deemed as "the best" phone to buy and has been "unbeatable" so far. Although it is still quite early to deem it as the best phone for this year, its rivals such as the LG G5 and HTC 10 seem unable to take on the South Korean giant's flagship.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge both have the same storage capacity of 32 or 64 GB with an expandable external memory of up to 200 GB. Both have 4 GB of RAM and have Samsung Exynos 8890 as its processors.
