The Nexus 7 2016 release date may come as early as this June. There are speculations that the highly-anticipated tablet will be available by summer.
Yibada reported that the Nexus 7 2016 release date will be available as early as Jun. 2016. Although Google has not officially addressed the rumors, it is believed that there is enough evidence about the device's development.
According to Android Central, a recent trademark filing for a "Huawei 7P" may point towards a Nexus 7 2016 release. This sparked speculations that it might be a follow-up to the manufacturer's Nexus 6P.
"It has always been a dream for Huawei to work with Google for the Nexus 6P," Huawei VP of R&D Eric Fang told the publication last year. "We believe that Huawei is moving up to the elite and high-range product. So in terms of the hardware and communications we can help Google develop high-range products."
Yibada speculated that the Nexus 7 2016 may already be underway with Huawei as its developer. Its release date could happen weeks after the Google I/O 2016 this May.
Christian Today noted that the Nexus 7 2016 tablet could be showcased next month, during Google's investor's conference. Moreover, Google is believed to be showcasing Android N in May.
It was previously reported that the Nexus 7 2016 release date may happen next year. LG, on the other hand, may be in-charge of creating Google's high-end smartphone. The company has already produced two high-end Nexus phones, the Nexus 4 and 5.
It was previously reported that the Nexus 7 specs will feature a 3D Touch display. The upcoming device is also said to run on Android N. The Nexus 7 is also said to support Google's 3D Touch feature. Xiaomi and OPPO, among others, will be using the feature sometime this year as well.
The Google Nexus 7 is said to have the same introductory price once it gets released. This is believed to be the company's tactic to attract more customers.
