The success of "The Jungle Book" was unprecedented. It was not expected to reign in the box office this long. Moreover, with a hefty $209M and $600M global revenues, the world of business and trade is buzzing with its robust returns.
According to Forbes, "The Jungle Book grossed $3.8 million on Thursday, bringing its 14-day domestic cume to $209.7m, and with third-weekend estimates ranging anywhere from $35m to $45m, the Jon Favreau adventure blockbuster may well cross the $250m mark by Sunday, putting it among the 35 fastest films to reach said milestone."
The remarkable success of "The Jungle Book" has pushed the movie in an upward trajectory. Meeting the same status that "Iron Man 2," "Shrek the Third," and "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End."
Although it remains uncertain on whether "The Jungle Book" would hit the mark of being one of the fifty "fastest to $250 million" grossers which was bagged by famously frontloaded Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallow Part I, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, and the second, fourth, and fifth Twilight films failed to hit that milestone, according to the same report.
Others have also been anticipating on whether "The Jungle Book" can outrun "Deadpool" in the box office, given the fact that "Deadpool" is Marvel's definition of success owing to the movie gaining a global box office of $746M, reports Jobs & Hire.
Given the strong competition, the rise of Disney's "The Jungle Book" is unparalleled, and as the movie showcases no possibility of stopping at all, it is perceived that it would gain more hefty figures and not outmaneuver its present mark of $209M and potential $600M global revenues.
