NetherRealm Studios has managed to keep silent about the "Injustice 2" release date. It is still unknown when the highly-anticipated game will be available.
Last year, Attack of the Fanboy speculated that the "Injustice 2" release date could come alongside the "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" movie. It seems as though NetherRealms may have other plans for the game since it still has not been released yet.
It was previously reported that President of NetherRealm Studios and game director of "Injustice" Ed Boon teased the possible "Injustice 2" release date. He mentioned that he and his team may ship a game in April.
"@Official_AIAS @noobde :( Hope you can make it next year! EB: Absolutely! ......unless we ship a game in April 2016 ;)" Ed Boon tweeted.
This time, though, Gospel Herald noted that a lot of fans were looking forward to Boon's "big news" last Mar. 29. There were expectations that the NetherRealm Studios boss would announce the "Injustice 2" release date or other details.
However, the news was actually to confirm "Mortal Kombat X" Pro League season 3. It is now "bigger and better than ever" with a whopping $200,000 in store for winners.
The publication added that fans want to see a Kombat Pack 3 in place of the "Injustice 2" news. There is a possibility of a crossover, though, since the rumored DLC pack may have "Mortal Kombat" characters as well as from other franchises such as DC comics.
Speaking to Game Reactor, Ed Boon admitted that he is grateful that fans are very passionate about "Mortal Kombat." He also revealed that the feedback of players is important in the studio's development of the games.
"We love the fact that fans are so passionate about Mortal Kombat," Boon told the website. "Unfortunately, it's simply not possible to satisfy every single wish from players... The fans are very influential in determining which characters we include for the DLC fighters that come after the game is released."
