Lawyers Dig Into Prince’s Estate – What’s Happening Behind Closed Doors? 700 Possible Claimants

When he died in April 21 at the age of 57, Prince did not leave any will. The work of settling his estate is now being carried out behind closed doors and there is no clue as to what is happening inside since his lawyers are all tight-lipped.
But a report says that there could be approximately 700 claimants to the late rocker's wealth $300 million plus wealth. Could there really be that large number of people close to him that are entitled to this largesse?
These hundreds of people are now angling for a share in Prince's wealth. It was reported that they have inundated his estate with numerous claims that they have some relations to the "Purple One" singer.
"Our phone has been ringing off the hook. I would say we have received between 600 and 700 calls," Harvey Morse, told the Daily Mail. He is leading the official hunt for the dead rocker's relatives.
"They run the gamut, literally from, 'We lived in the same area so we must be related,' to, 'We have pictures of Prince at our family reunion,' " he added.
However, Morse, who is connected with Morse Genealogical Services, a Florida-based company said he prefers to depend on official documents such as "Birth, marriage, death, divorce certificates, census records, that sort of thing."
People who have knowledge of this kind of legal proceedings say that since Bremer Trust was named special administrator of Prince's estate, it would likely has been recording the assets that he left behind, such as real estate, financial accounts, recording catalog, and the unreleased recording stored in his Paisley Park vault.
They would also be putting value on each of these assets. These lawyers are also busy identifying the legitimate heirs of Prince George Nelson as well as his debts from creditors. They are also digging up his vault to see if there's a will he left secretly.
