Bette Midler called out Donald Trump for his "racist" and "homophobic" remarks on Twitter. Moreover, the iconic singer wants the presidential aspirant to be banned from the social media site.
The Daily Mail reported that the "Wind beneath My Wings" songstress spoke out as Azealia Banks' Twitter account was suspended. The rapper threw numerous racial remarks at former One Direction member Zayn Malik.
"Twitter deactivated Azealia Banks' account for homophobia & racism?" Midler tweeted. "So why is Donald Trump still here?"
"It's finally sunny," she wrote in another tweet last week. "I hope Donald Trump gets out and gets some color around his eyes so they match the rest of his face."
Currently, her post has garnered nearly 40,000 retweets and more than 50,000 likes. Last March, Midler has also made a witty comment on Kim Kardashian's naked selfie.
"Kim Kardashian tweeted a nude selfie today," she posted. "If Kim wants us to see a part of her we've never seen, she's gonna have to swallow the camera."
Donald Trump, on the other hand, is notorious for his Twitter remarks which some find offensive. One of his frequent targets has been Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly.
According to TIME, Kelly's Fox special with U.S. election presidential candidate was aired on Tuesday night. The news anchor grilled him on the sexist language that he and his supporters have used about her over the past months.
"You've probably had some pretty nasty tweets sent your way," Trump said. "I don't want that to happen."
Megyn Kelly revealed that Trump actually retweeted some of the posts. He even tried to defend himself by saying that Kelly being called "bimbo" was "not the most horrible thing" and that she has been "called a lot worse."
Telegraph added that Kelly also challenged Trump about his comments on the looks of Senator Ted Cruz's wife, Heidi Cruz. The presumptive GOP nominee did admit that he "could have done without it" and added that Mrs. Cruz was "fair game" in terms of the campaign.
