Taylor Swift Vs Kanye West, Madonna Vs Elton John & More

Celebrity feuds apparently, are neither new nor rare in la la land as we start of our list with a British bands of the 60s.
01. The Beatles and The Rolling Stones
On one side were the suit-wearing Beatles well loved even by the adults of the 60s, while on the other side were the dangerous-looking Rolling Stones whom the parents hated.
"But I think what really defines that rivalry, in the broader sense, is the reactionary nature of it. Whenever something becomes universally liked [like the Beatles], there are going to be people who want to hate it. At some point people get sick of being hit over the head with how great something is. That allows the Stones to rise to prominence, because if you don't like the Beatles or if you're sick of the Beatles or if you don't like what they represent, liking the Stones was a way of voting against that."
An ongoing feud that has spanned more than a decade, Madonna and Sir Elton have been at it since that fateful day he called her James Bond theme song, "Die Another Day," the "worst Bond tune ever." Things merely took a turn for the worse when he had called Madonna "a nightmare" to his BFF, of all people.. Lady GaGa.
03. Rosie O'Donell & Donald Trump
The feud started when The Don allowed then Miss USA to keep her crown after her involvement in sex, drinking and drugs. O'Donnell did not subscribe to The Don's point of view. Things further escalated when he'd responded by calling O'Donell a ""woman out of control" and a "loser".
Present-day presidential hopeful....
04. Taylor Swift & Kanye West
It all started in 2009 when Swift was awarded for Best Female Video. Kanye went on stage interrupting Swift's acceptance speech, taking the microphone from her and "suggested" that Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time.
After an exchange of hostile comments on social media and the press, it was thought that the 2 finally buried the hatchet when Swift awarded Kanye and Kanye with the Video Vanguard Award in 2015.
The peace hadn't lasted long as the feud though when Kanye blasted Swift in his song "Famous" claiming he was the reason she became a star.
Some suggest that it was Kanye's way of rejecting the commerciality of mainstream pop music represented in Swift as he looks at himself as a visionary artist.
Then again.. it's Kanye.. maybe he just hadn't thought things through.
05. Oprah Winfrey & David Letterman
The 2 fell out when Oprah appeared in Letterman's show 1988. She'd left having had an "uncomfortable experience" and refusing to ever guest again. Things got even colder when, though either admitted to a feud, Letterman pranked Oprah into paying for his dinner date. It wasn't until 2013 when the 2 finally talked it out on "Oprah's Next Chapter". 25 years after the fact.
How DOES one get Oprah sulking for a quarter of a century....
06. Tupac and Biggie
2Pac and the Notorious B.I.G. were the rap industry's biggest stars back in the '90s. Both represented their side of the East Coast vs. West Coast rap wars. Onetime friends, they'd trashed each other in their lyrics. The fighting escalated when Tupac accused Biggie of the 1994 robbery and shooting at a recording studio lobby in 1994. Both were murdered within a year..
07. Prince and Michael Jackson
The 2 were huge musical legends in their own right. The 2 enjoyed a fierce rivalry. How the feud had started remains vague. Some attributed it to Prince's competitive nature.
It began back in the 80s when Michael was catapulted to superstardom with his hit album 'Thriller'. Prince talked about "a feud" with Michael Jackson . How he supposedly refused to appear in Jackson's "Bad" video when invited of which role was replaced with Wesley Snipes.Prince became a superstar in his own right with the Oscar-winning film Purple Rain and its equally epic soundtrack.
The 2 superstars maintained a bitter rivalry, mysteriously feuding for many years even with both enjoying hugely successful careers.
It was ironic as they both shared similar qualities. Dominating the music industry and becoming icons of the art. Both were known to be reclusive. Michael had Neverland, Prince had Paisley Park.
Both died.. too soon.
08. Nicki Minaj and Miley Cyrus
It all started when Minaj missed out on the VMA Best Video nomination with "Anaconda", pointing out that race may have been an issue which may, at the time, had not exactly been ungrounded.
Miley dismissed Minaj's statement as nothing more than statements made in anger and jealousy which infuriated Minaj who struck back with the her now iconic one liner "Back to this b*tch that had a lot to say about me the other day in the press - Miley, what's good?" at the Video Music Awards.
09. Mary-Kate Olsen vs. Paris Hilton
It all started in 2005 when Olsen's boyfriend, Stavros Niarchos III, dumped her and headed straight into a relationship with Hilton who, at the time, had just also called off her engagement with Paris Latsis.
No Stavros. No Paris. No abla.
10. Bill Murray vs. Lucy Liu
Murray reportedly started the feud when he'd stopped filming on the set of Charlie's Angels and began to insult Liu saying, "What in the hell are you doing here? You can't act!"
The movie's producers must've taken steps as Murray had not been able to reprise his role in the sequel.
In 2003, Murray stated that everything had been blown way out of proportion and that the incident had not been the reason for his absence on the second Charlie's Angels film.
He also stated (that) "We made peace and I got to know her better from that day, and I feel very warmly for her now."
Of course Murray IS well known for comedy.
11. Lindsay Lohan vs. Amanda Bynes
A classic case of Disney vs. Nickelodeon. Bynes had run-ins with the police for DUI along with hit-and-run offenses in 2012 but had never been convicted for them while Lohan, with a similar rap sheet, ended her behind bars. Lohan tweeted, "Why did I get put in jail and a Nickelodeon star has had NO punishment(s) so far.
12. Madonna vs. Gwyneth Paltrow
The couple started as inseparable BFFs. Everything fell apart when Madonna decided to boot their mutual personal trainer, Tracy Anderson. The fall out started when Paltrow had not followed suit and kept Anderson on. Madonna could not stand for it and terminated their friendship contract.
A REAL friendship contract.. That may have been a clue..
