It is believed that "Fear the Walking Dead" and "Orange is the New Black" actress Elizabeth Rodriguez will join the "Wolverine 3" cast. She will be joining Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart in the upcoming movie.
This week, a source told The Wrap that Rodriguez is already in negotiations to join the "Wolverine 3" cast. Stewart has been confirmed to reprise his role as Charles Xavier, also known as Professor X.
Other confirmed "Wolverine 3" cast are Boyd Holbrook, who will portray the movie's villain, and Richard E. Grant, who will take on the role of a mad scientist. Stephen Merchant, Eriq La Salle and Elise Neal will also make an appearance in the film.
The publication noted that the "Fear the Walking Dead" and "Orange is the New Black" actress will have a "small but key role" as part of the "Wolverine 3" cast. It is being directed by James Mangold.
Moreover, the "Wolverine 3" movie will be Hugh Jackman's final appearance as the clawed mutant. 20th Century Fox has slated the film's release for Mar. 3, 2017.
Elizabeth Rodriguez initially appeared in Netflix show "Orange is the New Black" before her major role in AMC's "Fear the Walking Dead." She will also be in the third season of Starz series "Power."
What Culture reported that the "Wolverine 3" movie will be based partly on Mark Millar and Steve McNiven's comic book, "Old Man Logan." The film is also believed to be aiming for an R rating.
Meanwhile, there are speculations that the "Wolverine 3" villain will be Mister Sinister. According to /FILM, the "X-Men: Apocalypse" end-credits scenes may have revealed key information on who the mutant will battle with in the sequel.
Apparently, a suited man was seen walking through the remnants of the Weapon X clean-up program. As he removed blood, bodies and bullets, he also picked up Wolverine's blood labeled Weapon X and placed it into his briefcase with an Essex Corp. label.
This fueled rumors that Nathaniel Essex, a.k.a. Mister Sinister, will be the "Wolverine 3" villain. There are no official confirmations yet about the character.
