Recent "Injustice 2" news has revealed that NetherRealm Studios, who also developed "Mortal Kombat X," may unveil the highly-anticipated game at E3 2016. This will be a sequel to 2013's "Injustice: Gods Among Us."

Design&Trend reported that "Mortal Kombat X" developers NetherRealm Studios may be revealing important "Injustice 2" news at E3 2016 next month. Samsung Mobile recently posted a teaser which appears to be connected with the highly-anticipated video game.

"Injustice is about to be served," the official Facebook page of Samsung Mobile posted. "Coming soon."

Samsung tagged WB Games and DC Comics in the post. The short clip showed Batman's logo on what seems to be a device with a spotlight going back and forth the symbol. The logo of "Injustice: Gods Among Us" can also be seen at the lower right corner of the screen.

This sparked speculations that "Mortal Kombat X" developers NetherRealm Studios will be announcing "Injustice 2" news at E3 2016. This generated excitement for fans who have waited years for the sequel to the 2013 hit.

The publication also noted that E3 2016 would be the ideal place for Warner Bros. to reveal its "Injustice 2" news. Moreover, the partnership would make a lot more sense if the sequel will be released soon.

The "Mortal Kombat X" developers have been keeping quiet regarding the "Injustice 2" release date. There were speculations that the game's launch would coincide with the premiere of "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" but it did not happen.

""We love the fact that fans are so passionate about Mortal Kombat," Boon told Game Reactor. "Unfortunately, it's simply not possible to satisfy every single wish from players... The fans are very influential in determining which characters we include for the DLC fighters that come after the game is released."

Meanwhile, a new "Mortal Kombat X" DLC pack may include characters that fans want to see in the game. According to Christian Today, if NetherRealm Studios wants to please fans, they should make Spawn the first character to be in the expansion.
