Ford Producing Pickup For Rich And Wealthy Lifestylers

Ford has been known to provide pickups for those who rough it on the road and go cross country. Now, it is trying to take a different approach as it makes a pick up for the filthy rich.
It is not all the time the American cowboy roughs it up with his ripped jeans. Sometimes, he comes in with designer pants even though he has the dirtiest leather boots you have ever seen. Which is why Ford is producing a pickup for the rich and wealthy.
Ford is making the upcoming 2017 F-Series Super Duty pick up. According to Fox News, the pickup truck will have a vinyl flooring option. It will be available on all trim levels including the top tier King Ranch and Platinum models. The vinyl will have a thicker hide compared to the lower trim on other Ford level trucks. If customers are wary about cleaning, Ford is confident that it is really easy to maintain and clean. Maybe customers would opt for removable floor mats instead and switch to a carpet style for those high-class pursuit nights. And then during the weekend, switch to WeatherTech mats if they are planning to dirty up their boots.
It is a different take on luxury Ford vehicles as Ford will enable customers to choose the different features. Imagine wood trim, leather upholstery plus massaging seats and a panoramic sun roof.
The shift in direction for Ford comes after the company has seen an increase in its high end truck sales. They've noticed that high end truck customers use their pickups mostly for professional and personal use. Though the pickup is still handy for going off roading, these customers like to cruise along the neighborhood in style. According to Doug Scott, the Ford Truck Group Marketing Manager, "They want the luxury of a King Ranch or Platinum edition, while maintaining their ability to use the truck for work without fear of ruining the interior."
High end customers who are planning to purchase this pickup for the rich and wealthy may need to wait until fall for the pricing. The aluminum bodied pickup trucks' pricing has not yet been officially revealed. However, buyers can expect a cost of up to $75,000.
