Recent Charlie Hunnam 2016 news revealed that the actor just turned down a part in the "Sons of Anarchy" prequel. There were speculations that it was because of his strained relationship with showrunner Kurt Sutter.
Kpopstarz reported that the prequel for "Sons of Anarchy" is being developed. However, it seems that Charlie Hunnam will not be a part of the next installment.
"Kurt and I had a conversation in the beginning of the final season," Hunnam told Men's Journal when asked whether he knew that his character, Jax Teller, would die at the end. "He was thinking that Jax would probably live through it and I was sort of with him. I was operating under that assumption for the whole season."
"At the end of it we both realized that it would have been more tragic to let him live after what he had gone through. In my heart Jax has found peace."
Charlie Hunnam also confirmed plans for the "Sons of Anarchy" prequel. He even teased about Brad Pitt taking on the role of John Teller, Jax's dad.
According to Kdramastars, the prequel will focus on John Teller's life. It may also provide a "detailed analysis" of biker culture.
The "Sons of Anarchy" prequel has been confirmed to have about 10-12 episodes. It will feature the time when John met Piney in Vietnam as well as their return to the U.S.
The "Pacific Rim" star did reveal that he is unsure of when the prequel will be aired. Kurt Sutter is working on another TV show. While their working relationship has generally been amicable, Hunnam admitted that there were times when things were tense between them.
"I love that guy, but it was hard for us to work together sometimes because we're both crazy f-ks," he added. "Kurt and I never blasted each other in the face, but I'll say it got close. There has been security rushing onto set and pulling us apart before."
