NetherRealm Studios definitely have their hands full with the development of "Mortal Kombat X" Kombat Pack 3 and "Injustice 2."
Movie News Guide reported that NetherRealm Studios boss Ed Boon, via PlayStation Blogcast, revealed how busy they are at the moment. "Mortal Kombat X" Kombat Pack 3 and "Injustice 2" are believed to be keeping the developers' hands full.
"We're very busy," Boon admitted. "Because 'Mortal Kombat X' we've extended its support even further than all the other games. It's actually...overlapping into our next game, 'Injustice 2' and I'm trying to tell myself it's a good thing, but it makes for a very busy schedule."
"Mortal Kombat X" Kombat Pack 3 DLC has not been officially confirmed yet. However, fans are expecting a big announcement at EVO 2016 this Jul. 15 to 17 since Boon took to Twitter to tease more news about the game.
"evEn with the recent announcement of injustice 2," he tweeted last month. "we'Ve got some cool mortal kombat x news cOming!"
There are speculations that Sindel, Rain, Havik and Noob Saibot will be featured in "Mortal Kombat X" Kombat Pack 3. AOTFB noted that more DLC could be in store for the game.
According to VG247, "Injustice 2" has a similar look and feel to the original game. The publication added that the roster could round out to about 28 characters.
Gorilla Grodd is described as "a combination of brute force." He is equipped with the ability to quickly dash up his opponents on all fours. He also has super strength to batter his enemies and telekinesis to float.
Batman and Superman are part of the "Injustice 2" roster. This time, though, they have new balancing and all-new supermoves.
The most interesting feature for the "Injustice 2" game is its gear system. This will allow players to customize and improve their character's appearance. The game's senior producer Adam Urbano shared his thoughts on the highly-anticipated sequel.
"Bigger is better in this game," Urbano told Comicbook.com. "So we took what was iconic about the characters, but we really distilled it down and just went big."
