Rebel Wilson's weight has never been an issue. When she started in her acting and funny gal career, she already had her weight as part of her profile. Now, the 36 year old Australian actress says that it was her weight that got her the job.

Rebel Wilson's weight advanced her career in comedy and acting. She knows it gets laughs. She remembers casting an actress that was bigger than her in a play she wrote a while back. She remembered how the actress appeared to act effortlessly and she got the whole audience to laugh.

In a sit down interview with the Telegraph, Wilson said, "Oh. That girl's getting a lot of laughs, a lot easier than me. What is it?' Because I don't think there's much difference in talent." Then she realized that maybe it was because she was fatter than her. With that thought in mind, she began thinking about how she could be more funnier: "And then, I don't know if it was mega-conscious, but I thought: 'How can I get more laughs? Maybe if I was a bit fatter...' And then suddenly I was fatter, and doing comedy."

But the Aussie actress revealed that her weight was not because of obsessive eating. She has a hormonal imbalance that makes her gain weight rapidly. The "Perfect Pitch 2" comedienne did explain that she has thoughts about shedding some pounds off but knows that her image inspires other women to gain a higher level of self-esteem.

"I saw my size as being an advantage, whereas so many women see it as a disadvantage," she says.

Aside from Rebel Wilson's weight, the funny gal credits her career to being business-minded. She is a trained lawyer and is knowledgeable about drawing contracts. That was what she did before getting her break out role in Bridesmaids back in 2011. She is an ambitious gal and says that everybody has talent.
