Recent Chicago Bulls news revealed that Rajon Rondo and Dwayne have joined the team. This sparked speculations that they will be part of a new "Big 3."
Chicago Tribune reported that Sacramento Kings point guard Rajon Rondo has now joined the Bulls. This comes after the team's executive vice president John Paxson spoke out about his disappointment at his players' lack of collective fight last season.
"You can consider me stubborn, but I think I'm really intelligent," Rondo said on Thursday. "I don't B.S. around. I put a lot of work in. I watch film. I study. People may knock it, but I think it's what makes me great."
"I talk to a lot of older players and players I have respect for and they don't consider it a knock. I talk to older coaches as well. These guys will get to know me. People have always doubted me. This is Day One. We'll see."
The news about Rajon Rondo joining the Chicago Bulls comes after free agent Dwyane Wade has committed to join the team as well. In a letter to The Associated Press, via ESPN, the 34-year-old NBA player admitted that it was not an easy decision but feels that it was the right choice.
"Watching the Bulls growing up inspired me at an early age to pursue my dream of becoming a basketball player," he wrote. "My most treasured memories were watching my dad play basketball on the courts of Fermi Elementary School and developing my game at the Blue Island Recreation Center. I have never forgotten where I came from, and I am thankful to have an opportunity to play for the team that first fueled my love of the game."
According to the New York Post, there are now "three alphas" on the Chicago Bulls. It was noted that Dwyane Wade, Rajon Rondo and Jimmy Butler will definitely form a new "Big 3."
Moreover, Rondo's enlistment to the Chicago Bulls is expected to squash any power struggle within the players. It would also stop the notion that the Bulls are "Jimmy's team."
