"Arrow" cast John Barrowman has landed a new deal with the show, making him a regular of the series. Moreover, he may also appear in "The Flash" and "DC's Legends of Tomorrow."
TVLine reported that "Arrow" cast John Barrowman will maintain a series regular status in the show. With the deal, he would also be able to appear on all superhero shows where Greg Berlanti acts as executive producer. This includes "The Flash" and "DC's Legends of Tomorrow."
"What it really emulates to us is the comic books themselves, where there really are a cast of characters," Berlanti said. "In success, we hope to continue with other characters finding their way across all the shows."
The actor appeared on the first two seasons of "Arrow" as Oliver's primary season 1 adversary, Malcolm Merlyn. He became a series regular by season 3. In season 4, Miller appeared on "The Flash" in a crossover that tied up with "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" spin-off, as well as The CW's "Reign" as Scottish clan leader Munro.
John Barrowman's deal comes after "Prison Break" star Wentworth Miller, who portrays character Leonard Snart also known as Captain Cold, was revealed to be no longer a regular for "DC's Legends of Tomorrow."
According to Deadline, the actor has landed a series regular contract with Greg Berlanti's shows, "The Flash" and "Legends." Miller's contract is the first contract that is not just limited to one show.
Collider noted that Wentworth Miller is currently working on "Prison Break" and will not be a part of the team of "Legends" next year on board The Waverider. Executive producer Greg Berlanti did admit that the actor "will have a very active role on the show."
EW added that Miller's character, Snart, would definitely return since "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" deals with time travel. Fans have not seen the last of Captain Cold yet.
