It became an unstoppable fever. Pokemon Go has swept the world. The mobile game gained traction after it has been slowly released in most countries. Some countries are still waiting for their turn at the servers but regardless of the anxiety experienced by everyone trying to catch that Pokemon, it still became a worldwide phenomenon.
It started almost two decades ago as an animated series. The franchise went wild going into games, toys and more. Now, the franchise turned to the mobile game world and took it by storm.
And it would not be a weird thing to hear that Hollywood might be planning to make a Pokemon movie. According to reports, a live-action movie will be made by Legendary Pictures. The company is moving ahead to land the rights to create a Pokemon movie.
Legendary Pictures and Pokemon USA has not commented on the possibility of a Pokemon movie. But still, many believe that the movie is going to happen. This is not to be confused with the Pokemon films that have been theatrically released since 1998 in both Japanese and English versions. It started with Ash, Misty, Brock, and several other Pokemon trainers travel to an island, under the pretense that they will be battling a superior Pokemon trainer, only to discover the genetically engineered Pokemon Mewtwo, created by a scientist for Giovanni of Team Rocket, is there and is planning to take over the world with other cloned Pokemon. The rumored Pokemon movie will be handled by Pokemon USA.
Although the production of a Pokemon movie has been going around for the past several years and multiple studios have been trying to get the rights to the property, this might just become a reality this time around after Pokemon Go has revived the hearts of its loyal fans and followers.
Legendary Pictures is planning to make this happen.
